OverDrive welcomed 450 librarians and publishers to its 3rd international user group conference in Cleveland, Ohio. Digipalooza 2011 attendees began the conference with an opening reception at the Renaissance Cleveland Hotel where librarians met fellow colleagues who offer eBooks and digital audiobooks. Friday, Saturday and Sunday were jam-packed with statistics, best practices and ideas for how to maximize digital media in the library, and most importantly, how to "manage the eBook explosion." The conference program provides a glimpse at the valuable and relevant topics that were addressed and discussed. Attendees were also invited to explore exhibits from leading publishers such as AudioGO, Books on Tape and HarperCollins, as well as ILS vendors and OCLC. Digipalooza offers a unique blend of education, networking and fun. Attendees enjoyed Books, Bowling & Billiards at The Corner Alley, as well as a party at Cleveland Browns Stadium with dinner, live music and dancing.
